ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 22 ರಿಂದ ಮೇ 25ರ ವರೆಗೆ 18ನೇ ಆವೃತ್ತಿಯ ಐಪಿಎಲ್ ಆರಂಭವಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ಹತ್ತು ತಂಡಗಳು ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗಿಯಾಗುತ್ತಿವೆ. ಕೊಲ್ಕತ್ತಾದ ಈಡನ್ ಗಾರ್ಡನ್ಸ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 22ರಂದು ಐಪಿಎಲ್ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನೆ ಬಳಿಕ ಕೆಕೆಆರ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಆರ್ಸಿಬಿ ನಡುವೆ ಮೊದಲ ಪಂದ್ಯ ನಡೆಯಲಿದೆ. ಮೂರು ಬಾರಿ ರನ್ನರ್ ಅಪ್ ಆಗಿದ್ದ ಆರ್ಸಿಬಿ ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಸೀಸನ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಪ್ ಗೆಲ್ಲಲು ಸಕಲ ಸಿದ್ಧತೆ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿದೆ.
